Air Sleeping Pad - Foot Pump Power!
Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2020
I've tested a variety of sleeping pads on my camping trips (Foam, self inflating, hand pump, etc) and have found air pads to be the lightest to use. Great for backpacking or if you just don't have enough room (motorcycle camping).
Typically air pads can have you just blow em' up old school or have a hand pump (built in or separate). This is the first time I've seen / used an air pad with a foot pump and I really enjoyed it.
Laying out the pad was quick and easy, like most. Just rolls out. The biggest difference is when you start pumping. I've never pumped an air pad in such a short amount of time. Once rolled out, I had the pad fully inflated in under a minute. They kept the valves simple with one way rubber stoppers and the amount of air intake was great.
The layout of the chambers I also really liked. Air pads I've used have all been just a single, uniform design. This pad however actually creates a slightly raised border to help center you and keep you from sliding off. A great design that I've never seen before. Head rest / pillow was nice and contoured and just laying down was overall very pleasant.
The only con I can see is the size, the air pad is about the size of a single person tent. This added length may be something to consider when other air pads are 1/2 the size.
In my case, I'll trade the extra space for one of the fastest air pads I've ever owned.
